Kartick Satyanarayan, who will be part of our panel discussions on nature conservation as well as a keynote speaker of an interactive talk, is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Wildlife SOS. He is a Member of the IUCN Bear Specialist Group (Sloth Bear Team Expert), the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau, the State Wildlife Advisory Board of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, the State Wildlife Advisory Board of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, the Central Zoo Authority’s Captive Elephant Evaluation Committee and the Executive Board of Friendicoes- SECA in New Delhi. He is a Member of the Government of India’s Central Zoo Authority (2007-2015) and an Honorary Wildlife Warden of the Government of NCT Delhi.
Mr. Satyanarayan was an Animal Welfare Consultant to Brooke Hospital for Animals (UK)in which capacity he presented papers at workshops and conferences in the UK (London, Oxford, Edinburgh), the Netherlands, Jordan, Egypt, Pakistan, Mexico, Indonesia and the USA. He has conducted lectures on Wildlife Crime Prevention and Wildlife Conservation at the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Wildlife Institute of India, National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Sciences, the Police Training Institute, the SRCC Youth Conference in New Delhi and at innumerable conferences, for zoos and societies globally. He is the co-author of “Dancing Bears of India” and “Trade in Bears and Their Parts in India: Threats to Conservation of Bears”.
