Mallika Sarabhai is an expert of every artistic language, from dance and theatre to activism and verse. In India, she is best known as a dance legend, who has inspired generations into carrying our cultural legacy of movement proudly into the future.
One of India’s leading choreographers, Mallika founded the Darpana Dance Academy, gracefully blending classical and contemporary styles. Mallika graced the international stage in her role as Draupadi in Peter Brook’s The Mahabharata, performing in France, North America, Australia and Japan.
She has also toured internationally for her own original theatrical works, threading her personal advocacy of social issues with artistry for hard-hitting dramatic performances
